Conference organizers say there has been a lot of interest in a mining symposium being staged by Grand Council Treaty #3 and the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.
The conference gets underway in Kenora this morning and will feature a number of companies activley doing exploration work in the area.
Ministry spokesperson Lori Churchill says they have conducted similar sessions elsewhere in northern Ontario with positive results.
