The booming mining industry in northwestern Ontario will be the focus of a conference being sponsored in part by Grand Council Treaty #3.
The focus of the conference will be working with aboriginal communities in the region.
Clifford Bob is a spokesperson for Treaty Three and says this is a way for them to get a better picture of some of the exploration opportunities in the area.

The keynote speakers today include Grand Chief of Treaty Three, Arnold Gardner and Canadian Arrow Mines, which is developing a nickel mine southeast of Kenora.
The Ministry of Northern Development and Mines is also one of the sponsors of the conference.
