Over 55 businesses and organizations from across Northern Ontario will take part in a mining showcase this week.
The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada’s International Convention runs until Wednesday in Toronto.
Minister of Northern Development and Mines Michael Gravelle says the northern contingent will promote the region and its mining potential.
Gravelle says the region remains one of the most attractive destinations for mineral investment in Canada and around the world.
He notes there are new mines opening up this year and the industry is moving forward.
25,000 visitors from over 100 countries are expected to attend the convention.
