Mining regulations questioned

system for approving new mines.

Anna Baggio is a spokesperson for the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society and says potentially destructive mining proposals are not required to undergo environmentaal assessments.

Baggio says they have sent their complaint to Ontario’s
Environment Commissioner. It will then be forwarded to
the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines for review within 60 days.
