A vast majority of Ontario residents feel its time to reverse eight years of cutbacks at the Ministry of Natural Resources.
The International Fund for Animal Welafare recently conducted the province-wide survey.
It shows 83-percent of people want staffing levels returend to former levels.
As well, the poll suggests that 82-percent of Ontario residents oppose the privization of the MNR, and 76-percent feel that conservation officers should be listed as essential workers and not allowed to strike.
Rob Sinclair, spokesperson for the IFAW says they wanted to guage support for the MNR prior to the next provincial budget, which is scheduled to be tabled by the end of June.
