Minnesota Hunters Banned for 1 Year

Two Minnesota men have been fined a total of 4-thousand dollars for unlawfully discharging a firearm from a motorboat on Lake of the Woods, just southwest of Kenora.
The men were charged after shooting at a moose decoy in the area of North West Angle.
58-year-old Douglas Freitag admitted to driving the boat when the decoy was shot and 64-year-old Lee Becker admitted shooting the decoy.
The men have been banned from hunting in Ontario for one year.
