The Dryden GM Ice Dogs failed to capitalize on a great opportunity to advance in the Dudley Hewitt Cup Wednesday.
The Ice Dogs dropped a 4-3 decision to the Powassan Voodoos, thanks to a Parker Bowman short handed goal with about 13-minutes remaining in regulation.
Dryden GM also allowed two power play goals.
Chris Atanas, Kris Hamlin and Eric Stout scored for the Ice Dogs.
Dryden GM outshot Powassan 38-33.
The Ice Dogs now need a win Thursday night against Trenton to advance to the medal round.
CKDR will have the call for the final round-robin game starting at 6:20.
