Missing LU Students Located Safe and Sound

A group of 9-kayakers who were overdue from a trip on Lake Superior have been located safe and sound.
The 8-students and a teacher from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay were spotted by a C-130 Hercules from CFB Winnipeg this morning. (Thursday)
They were in the north end of Nipigon Strait, northeast of Thunder Bay, and indicated weather had hampered their progress and ability to communicate.
The group left for their trip, along with 16 other kayakers, on August 26th and were last heard from this past Sunday.
Eight other kayakers returned as scheduled Wednesday, and the other eight are on course to return today or Friday.
