Three red zone turnovers and some costly penalties and miscues ended up being the difference as the Dryden Eagles High School Football team dropped its opening game of the season; 27-12 to Lorette on Friday.
The Eagles trailed the entire game but let things slip away in the fourth when the Scorpions run game finally got going.
Leading the way for Dryden was Liam Wrolstad with a couple of touchdown runs; 1-yard and 38-yards.
The Eagles will look to rebound next Friday when the host arch-rival Kenora in the ‘Homecoming Game’.
