The final northwestern Ontario public information session on the TransCanada Pipeline Energy East project has concluded.
The last session was held last night in Thunder Bay and it drew some attention of environmental groups.
Citizens United For a Sustainable Environment rallied outside the meeting and Scott Harrison says the west-east pipeline shouldn’t go ahead.
Harrison stated that we shouldn’t be making it easier to get more crude from the Tar Sands out of the ground.
Others fully supported the project.
Eugene Lefrancois says it’s all about progress and notes we need the oil.
He stresses the project must be done right.
The proposed pipeline would see Alberta oil sent to the East Coast.
