A member of the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce has mixed reactions to the provincial budget.
Charla Robinson is pleased with increases to the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund as well as continued funding for the Northern Industrial Electricity Rate and the Forestry Growth Fund.
However, Robinson says the government has failed to deliver on a promise to exempt people and cargo from the aviation fuel tax when flying to remote First Nations communities.
Robinson says that promise was made four years ago and hasn’t be fulfilled.
