The Liberal government is touting the provincial budget and its benefits to northwestern Ontario.
Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro says the fiscal document includes more money for better Internet connections across the region.
The Minister of Municipal Affairs says the government is spending an additional $500-million over 3-years for rural and northern broadband upgrades.
Mauro says the funding will help connect area communities.
