The Ministry of Natural Resources is expecting a busy off-season after
a near record breaking fire season.
Information Officer Debbie McLean says local staff will spend the next few months going
through all of the paperwork and drafting a strategy for next year.

McLean says a couple of fires are still smouldering in the Fort Frances
District and notes crews will be closely monitoring the situation to avoid a
flare-up next season.
