MNR Charge Keewatin Woman With Fishing Offences

A Keewatin woman has been fined 26-hundred dollars for fishing related infractions.

Ingrid Parkes pleaded guilty in court to charges levelled against her in January.

Conservation officers with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry were called to the US border at Baudette after seven bags of unidentifiable fish fillets were discovered inside a vehicle.

It was later determined there were 12 walleye, eight more than Parkes was permitted to possess with her sport fishing licence.
