The Ministry of Natural Resources is collecting the droppings of
forest-dwelling woodland caribou.
Spokesperson Steve Kingston says the pellets will help estimate how
many caribou are living in the area.
Collecting droppings is a less invasive way of procuring DNA samples
from at risk species.
The public is encouraged to deliver pellets to the nearest MNR office.
