Hockey Clubs Advance to NWOSSA Final

The Dryden Eagles Boys and Girls are headed to the NWOSSA Hockey
Finals after a pair of wins in Cochenour Sunday.
The Eagle Girls beat the Red Lake Rams 3-1 to sweep the Best-of-3 Semi-Final.
Sarah Carter, Lauren Shoguchi and Caitlin Egli scored for Dryden, while Kelsey Fuerst made 10-saves
to pick up the victory.
Nicole Spence scored the first ‘AA’ Playoff goal in Rams History.
Kate Trippier made 38-saves for Red Lake.
Dryden will face the Beaver Brae Broncos in the Championship.
The Broncos beat Fort Frances 3-1 Sunday in Kenora to win the Semi-Final two games to none.
On the Boys side, Dryden beat Red Lake 5-2 to take the Best-of-3 Semi in two games.
Shawn DeGagne led the way with a pair of goals, while Aaron Lane, BJ Brignall and Kevin Trott
added singles.
Curtis Lampkin was solid in between the pipes making 31-saves.
Red Lake received goals from Eric Saana and Brendan Hourie.
The Eagles will meet the top ranked Fort Frances Muskies in the Championship.
The Muskies doubled the Beaver Brae Broncos 8-4 Sunday to sweep the series.
