The Dryden Ice Dogs split their weekend series with the
Thunder Bay Bearcats.
Dryden struck first with an 8-5 win Friday night at the ‘Dog Pound’.
Brendan MacDonald held the hot hand with a 5-goal performance, with Chris
Kitt, Ryan Helbling and Nicolas Doiron adding singles.
Travis Kamm picked up the victory.
The game was marred by an ugly line brawl in the second period started
by Thunder Bay enforcer Andrew Schenn.
Saturday, Dryden dropped an 5-3 decision with MacDonald, Kitt and Ryan
Pearson finding the back of the net.
The Ice Dogs are 2-points behind the Bearcats for third in the SIJHL standings with Thunder
Bay holding a game in hand.
