MNR Confirms Lever Road Area Fires Were Human Caused

The fires were started about 30-meters apart on May 23rd around 4:30 in the afternoon on the east side of Highway 502, one kilometre south of the Highway 594 junction.

If it wasn’t for the work of several area fire crews the fires could have destroyed a handful of homes on Lever Road.

Roughly five hectares of land was burned.

Anyone with information is asked to call the MNR or Crime Stoppers.
