The Ministry of Natural Resources is going to be training
two additional Conservation Dog Handlers, with one being
placed in Wawa.
Training begins on April 11th, and will last for 16
weeks, MNR Dog Hhandler Mike Buckner says they should be
ready for August First.

Buckner recently completed a tour of Northwestern
Ontario with his dog Hunter, he will be heading back to
Pembroke later this week.
Moose and deer hunting season are the busiest times for
dog handlers, because of poachers shooting from Ddriveways,
and hunting at night.
