Starting August First the Ministry of Natural Resources
in Wawa will have a trained Conservation Dog Handler.
Handler Mike Buckner and his pooch Hunter are wrapping up
a tour of Northwestern Ontario and says the Wawa trainee
will begin class April 11th.

A dog in Wawa will respond to poaching cases in
Northwestern Ontario if they’re needed, currently the
closest handler is in Sudbury.
