MNR Enforcement Blitz

Conservation officers with the Ministry of Natural Resources conducted a blitz to enforce a recent ban on open fires.
The MNR says four officers travelled through the Kenora District by plane, boat and truck last weekend making hundreds of contacts and reminding people about the Restricted Fire Zone (RFZ).
Officers say 11 charges were laid and two warnings issued under the Forest Fires Prevention Act.
