MNR Minister Pleased With Efforts To Save ELA

The Minister of Natural Resources is pleased the province has come forward in a bid to save the Experimental Lakes Area.
David Orazietti says the government believes there is incredible scientific benefit to having the facility operating in Ontario, and the jobs that go with it.
Orazietti points to the ELA’s work with ecosystems and providing information that is used internationally.
He is optimistic that an agreement can be reached with the Federal Government as soon as possible.
Orazietti adds they will also look at an opportunity to work with the private sector or a third party.
