MNR to Assist B.C. fires

More than 80 Ministry of Natural Resources fire personnel
are in British Columbia today to help battle wild fires.

Fire Information Officer Travis Moffatt says the fire situation is starting to heat up out west.

He says because the situation is relatively quiet in northwestern Ontario they were able to spare the fire crews.

N009 Q: …accordingly. (14 secs.)

There were just three new wild fires reported in nortwestern Ontario over the weekend, two in the Fort Frances District and the other a three hectare blaze near the Whitedog First Nation.
