Mock Disaster Initial Evaluation

A final report on yesterday’s Mock Disaster is due out sometime this month.
The training exercise, included a simulated train derailment, police investigation and the spread of toxic fumes.
Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky says the City’s Emergency Crews and officials responded well, but notes there are some gaping holes.
Krassilowsky says the Hospital was not notified that victims were being transported to the facility.
She adds some of the key players were not notified immediately by phone.
Fire Chief Darryl Herbert says he was pleased with his firefighters and overall was satisfied with the training session.
