Two thunder Bay Residents are facing hefty fines for using pesticides near Ignace.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says in August of 2015 their officers received a complaint that pesticides had been applied along a road in the Savoy Lake area.
When they arrived at the area MNR staff found 9 kilometres of dead and damaged vegetation.
After some investigation Paul Kiiskila and Paul Poschmann of Thunder Bay both were charged in relation to the incident.
The two both plead guilty to one offence and were fined a total of $4,500 for using and storing a pesticide without the required license.
