The Northwest Local Health Integration Network will receive $2.3-million
to trim wait times for various procedures.
The money will be shared by Hospitals in Kenora, Thunder Bay and
Terrace Bay.
The Provincial funds are aimed at reducing wait times for hip and
knee replacements, cataract surgeries and MRI and CT scans.
The Government says patients in some 5 key areas are now waiting almost
two months less for operations because of previous funding announcements.
The Dryden Regional Health Centre didn’t receive any money as the
Hospital was included in the first round of funding.
