The jury has rendered a verdict in the Bruce and Donna
Montague trial in Kenora court.
The former Dryden gunsmith was found guilty on 26
charges relating to firearms licensing. Montague’s lawyer
will be taking the verdict to the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Lawyer Doug Christie says he wasn’t surprised the jury
voted guilty on the licensing charges.

The jury found Montague not guilty on 27 charges, most
dealth with the improper storage of dynamite and weapons
dangerous to the public peace.
Montague’s wife, Donna was found guilty on one charge,
relating to the possession of a firearm without a license.
Sentencing will be held in Kenora Court on Monday, March
17th.
