Bruce Montague will have to wait until tomorrow to find out if he will have to serve any jail time.
The former Dryden gunsmith and his wife Donna were in Kenora Court today for a sentencing hearing.
The crown has asked for a three year sentence for Montague to be served in a penitentiary, and three years of probation for his wife and the gun charges they were found guilty of back in December.
Montague’s lawyer Doug Christie want Justice John Wright to reject any mandatory minimum sentence for his client.
Christie asked the court if it was really necessary to destroy a law-abiding citizen.
Justice Wright says he plans to hand down his decision on a sentence tomorrow morning.
