It wasn’t a promising start to the constitutional challenge launched by Bruce Montague in Kenora Superior Court.
The session got underway two hours late Monday afternoon, and when proceedings finally got underway, the crown attorney spent much of the time questioning the qualifications of the two expert witnesses that are supposed to testify this week for the defense.
A total of four days have been set aside for the hearings.
Montague is challenging the constitutionality of the Federal Firearms act.
He faces 53 charges under the act, for failing to register any of the weapons that he owns.
