The criminal trial for former Dryden gunsmith Bruce Montague is just getting underway at the Kenora Court House.
Montague faces 53 charges under the Federal Firearms Act.
The first item of business this morning is jury selection.
Once a 12 person jury is selected, then the court clerk will read the charges against Montague.
Its expected the court case could take about two weeks to
complete.
Just two weeks ago, Montague lost his constitutional challenge of the Federal Firearms Act, but he’s planning to appeal the decision to the Ontario Superior Court and
the Supreme Court of Canada.
