Defense Lawyer Doug Christie will continue his cross
examination tomorrow of Forensic Investigator J.P. Menard.
Menard testified that he tested a number of the weapons
seized from the Montagues home back in September of 2004.
Christie discussed sound and flash supressors with the
Crown witness, and suggested someone may use the devices
to save their hearing.
Montague’s lawyer also made note that gunsmiths could
need to replace pieces of older guns, and many firearms in
a gunsmith shop could be in constant repair.
Menard admitted gunsmiths do need to take apart guns to
see their inner workings and to find ways to make them
work.
Cross examination of Menard will continue tomorrow
morning, and then the Judge will pose questions to the
forensic investigator.
