Donna Montague’s testimony has wrapped up at the Kenora
Court house.
During Cross examination Crown Attorney Peter Keen
questioned Mrs. Montague about the journal she kept for 3
years during the police investigation.
Montague says she went into shock when she found out
about the secret room hidden in her basement.
She wondered how the Police received a tip about the
room, when she herself didn’t know about it.
She also made note that after the two police searches of
her home, the basement gave her the creeps and the house
didn’t feel the same anymore.
Montague says she started to make a journal because she
wanted to remember specific details from the past three
years.
The Crown and Defense will present their final arguments
on Monday. On Tuesday, Justice John Wright will give his
final charge to the jury before they begin their
deliberations.
