Moose And Deer Abandoned South Of Sioux Lookout

Another case of shooting and abandoning wildlife in northwestern Ontario.

Public assistance is needed to identify the individuals responsible for shooting two moose off of Highway 72 and abandoning a deer in Ojibway Provincial Park.

Conservation officers believe the two moose may have been harvested in an unsafe manner along the highway, and that the same individuals who left the entrails also abandoned the deer.

They determined the moose were transported into the park where they were gutted and a whole deer was abandoned on park property.

The discovery came from a public tip on Sunday.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-877-847-7667, 807-737-1140, 1-800-222-8477.
