Moose Watch Success

The Moose Watch program has been an early success.
After 6 weeks of operation, the Provincial enforcement campaign to prevent poaching has received 80 calls and 313 charges have been laid.
MNR Spokesperson Charlie Todesco says there have been 25 unlawfully hunted moose, 16 of which have been discovered shot and abandoned and 517 warnings have been issued.
Todesco adds 73 investigations are on-going.
The toll-free number will be operational until December 15th.
