More Cash for Food

Local Long Term Care facilities are applauding a Provincial Government
decision to increase the daily food supplement for their residents.
Starting September first, the food allowance will increase to
$7 a day, up from just over $5.
Kevin Queen is the Chief Administrative Officer of Princess Court in
Dryden and says the extra money will make a big difference.
Queen says they have to cook for specialized diets and the extra
funding will make it easier to meet the actual cost of feeding their
residents.
