More Fire crews head east

The Ministry of Natural Resources is getting ready to dispatch a few more fire crews from northwestern Ontario to
Quebec to help fight wildfires.

Six more crews and two overhead staff will leave today and join 15 fire ranger crews and five MNR employees who went east last week.

Meanwhile, 20 fire ranger crews that had been working in northeastern Ontario are starting to return home.

The fire situation in the Timmins area is starting to ease
and their services are no longer needed.
