The Dryden Police Service is thankful for the cooperation of the public and Dryden High School staff following a Monday fight that injured one youth.
Chief Rob Davis says the incident was quickly reported to Police as the fight spilled over to the Arena.
Davis says he really applauds students, staff, the public as well as those at the Arena for reporting the incident.
He says they understood the incident was wrong and did their part to keep Dryden safe.
Davis says similar violent acts are a daily occurrence at Canadian schools and in a lot of cases the incident isn’t reported to police.
One youth was arrested at the scene, while the other one turned himself into police Tuesday.
Both youth were students at Dryden High School and the original fight broke out during a fire drill.
Police continue to investigate.
