The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is lending more local support to northeastern Ontario.
The Northwest Region has committed 120-firefighters, 28-overhead staff and one logistics team.
Initially, 19-crews from this area were sent to the northeast.
They join a force of over 400-personnel.
The northeast is currently dealing with a very active forest fire situation.
Yesterday, a group of ‘Fire Boss’ water bombers from Wetern Canada passed through the Dryden Fire Centre, en route to the Northeast.
