The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund is getting a big boost from the
Provincial Government.
In Thursday’s Throne Speech, the Liberals pledged to increase
funding by $40-million, up to $100-million dollars a year.
Minister of Northern Development and Mines Michael Gravelle says its
too early to say where the extra money will go.
Gravelle says the speech has a number of positive announcements for the
Region including new programs for aboriginal communities and a pledge to continue the forest prosperity fund.
