More Money for Land Ambulance Service

The Kenora District Services Board is getting more money to operate its land ambulance emergency program.
The Board is receiving $249,000 more than it was anticipating.
The surplus will be kept in reserves for future projects.
CAO Dan McNeill says that put’s them close to a 50-50 agreement.
McNeill says they are about $75,000 short of a Ministry of Health commitment made four years ago.
The balance of the EMS budget if funded by municipal tax payers.
