More money for land ambulence service

The provincial government has come up with a large chunk of funding to help the Kenora District Service Board pay for land ambulence service.

Over the past week, the Ministry of Health has anted up more than 1.6 million dollars for its share of the land ambulence bill.

Sten Lif is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Services board and says the funding includes costs for first nations and unincorporated areas.

On Friday, the province also announced an increase of 418 thousand dollars for the DSSAB’s land ambulence base budget.
