Dryden and much of our area remains under a ‘Special Weather Statement” this morning (12 June 2017) as rain continues to fall.
Environment Canada says the Dryden Airport recorded over 42 mm of rain in the last 24 hours, which is less than half the 98 mm recorded in Kenora.
Rain is expected to continue, heavy at times, through this morning and afternoon with 10 to 15 mm expected before by this evening.
Expect periodic showers Thursday and mostly sunny conditions as the weekend begins.
Communities covered by the advisory include Dryden, Vermilion Bay, Ignace, Kenora, Fort Frances and Atikokan.
