The Northern Ontario Tourist Outfitters Association
believes the Province cancelled the spring bear hunt based
on touchy-feely reasoning.
Many anti-hunting groups at the time were saying the
hunt orphaned too many bear cubs.
Executive Director Doug Reynolds says that claim has
never been proven, and more research needs to be done.
