A recent two day enforcement blitz near Ignace found most anglers were following the rules.
The Ministry of Natural Resources checked 704 individuals on Highway 599, including more than 650 non-residents of Canada.
Conservation officers seized 17 fish and laid 13 charges for having an over-limit of fish and fishing without a valid licence.
A total of 28-warnings were issued.
Officers also spoke with anglers about how to reduce the spread of invasive species.
