Most Education Support Workers Back At Work

The long strike is over and most education assistants, librarians, clerical and office workers are back at work today in the Keewatin-Patricia School District.
However, some secretaries will not be back at work until tomorrow.
The school board and the union reached a tentative contract agreement last week after several days of negotiations.
The major stumbling block in the three month old dispute was hours of work.
Details of the agreement cannot be revealed until both sides ratify the deal.
Union members are expected to ratify the deal tonight while the school board will examine the deal at its regular monthly meeting tomorrow night.
