MPP Addressing Nuisance Bear Problem

Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro is trying to expand the province’s northern bear hunt.
The Liberal member says his private members bill at Queens Park is designed to help reduce the nuisance bear population in northwestern Ontario.
Mauro says his proposed law would expand the northern bear hunt, even if it means resurrecting the spring bear hunt.
Mauro believes that since the spring hunt was cancelled, the number of human and bear interactions has gone up.
