MPP Asking Governments To Help Flood Victims

Another call to resolve flooding issues in the far north.
NDP MPP Gilles Bisson says a lot of money has been spent over the years flying residents out every time there’s a flood.
Bisson says the provincial and federal governments should figure out a way to move residents off flood plains once and for all.
Nearly two thirds of Kashechewan First Nation’s population of about 15-hundred have been evacuated as a precaution since the
community declared an emergency last week.
