MPP Fed Up With State Of Area Highways

The MPP for Kenora-Rainy River says it’s time for the government to address the state of area highways.
Sarah Campbell says there’s no question that the maintenance of local roads this year is much worse.
Campbell notes the Transportation Minister made a pledge last month to visit the area if the problem got out of hand.
Campbell says a visit is definitely warranted.
She says alarm bells should be raised now that Iron Range Bus Lines has refused to travel Highway 502.
The NDP member adds there are times when the Trans Canada Highway is snow packed more than a week after a big snowfall.
Campbell says police are even indicating that most recent collisions have been caused by poor road conditions.
