Road Maintenance Comparison

With complaints about how northwestern Ontario highways are being maintained in the winter, we decided to take a look at how Minnesota handles maintenance of Highway 61 to Duluth and the I-35 to the Twin Cities.
Pat Houston is with the Minnesota Department of Transport and says the number one priority is getting plows on the road ASAP.
Houston says no chemicals are applied to the road until the snow has stopped and not in extremely cold temperatures.
He adds their main weapon of choice is “black salt”
