MPP Mauro Speaks Out About Bombardier Strike

Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro says the Bombardier strike has a ripple effect on the community.
Striking workers rallied outside City Hall and marched to Mauro’s office this afternoon, in hopes to have their voices heard.
Mauro says the province feels strongly about what the government has done to create employment at the Bombardier plant.
He says there is a commitment for a go-forward basis over the course of the next 10 years, more massive infrastructure spending, some of which will directly benefit the Bombardier plant and their employees.
Mauro adds it is completely out of the province’s realm to directly involve itself in labour negotiations.
A forced last offer vote, ordered by the Ministry of Labour, will happen tomorrow.
